Application Deadline: Indonesian Summer - Tropical Camp Program

ITB is the first and largest scientific and technical university in Indonesia, founded during the colonial era in 1920. It consists of 12 faculties offering courses and research in sciences, technologies as well as arts and design. Currently ITB has more than 20,000 students with annual intake of around 3500 new students enrolling from under-graduate program to post-doctoral program. Since the last 90 years ITB is proud of being the highly demanded university by consistently attracting the best high school students across the country.

Institut Teknologi Bandung is pleased to announce that this year we will organize seven tropical camp programs for 2-3 weeks, starting from 2 July 2012, which are:

1. Coast to Coast: Exploring Tropical Aquaculture at the Northern Java and Bali Sea
2. Craft and Tradition: On Textile and Ceramics
3. Creative Industry in West Java: Product Design and New Craft
4. Entrepreneur Tropical Camp: Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship in Indonesia
5. Geothermal Tropical Camp: Expanding the Insight into an Integration of Geothermal Business Process through Practical Orientation
6. Indonesia Underwater Mission: Uncover the Oasis of South West Java Sea
7. Rural Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

By taking part in this programme, students will receive 3-6 credits (depend on the program) which may be
transferred to their home universities. In this program, not only the student will learn about academic topics related to the program, but also they will interact with international fellows which will enrich their intercultural understanding, teamwork, problem solving skill and a unique experience during their participation. In addition, the students will learn about Indonesian culture and tradition and exciting places they will visit.
